Culture and History
The oldest building in the city was constructed in the year 1458 and is named Dazaifu Tenman-gu Shigasha inner sanctuary (太宰府天満宮志賀社本殿).
If you want to take a hot bath in Dazaifu, the spa Mikasa-no-Yu (みかさの湯) brings you relaxation and is also good for Arthralgia. The address: Rengaya 3-8-1 (連歌屋3-8-1). The plum flowers from 02/11 to 03/20 and is the most beautiful in the Dazaifu Tenman-gu (太宰府天満宮). Discover in the Kamado shrine (竈門神社), how the leaves turn from golden yellow to shining red. Start is around the 11/11 and the foliage lasts until 12/10.
